Privacy notice

How this website handles personal information.

This notice describes the current data flows on CommercialEVCharger.co.uk. The site is intentionally lightweight: there are no user accounts, no newsletter signup and no on-site project-enquiry submission in the current build.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who is responsible for the website?

The controller for this website is Nigel Brandom, a UK sole trader trading as NB Media and operating CommercialEVCharger.co.uk. For privacy enquiries, contact partnerships@commercialevcharger.co.uk. The geographic business address is published on the Contact page.

2. Information you choose to send us

If you email us, we receive the information contained in that email, which may include your name, email address, organisation, project details and any other information you choose to provide.

We use that information to respond to the enquiry, keep an appropriate record of business correspondence and, where relevant, assess a requested commercial discussion. The usual lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to and administering business communications. If we later ask for consent for a separate purpose such as optional marketing, that purpose will be handled separately.

3. Technical information used to deliver the site

Like most websites, hosting and security infrastructure may process standard technical request information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, date/time and security or error logs. This is used for site delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

4. Analytics and advertising

The current website code does not intentionally load an analytics or advertising tracker. The calculators contain event hooks that can send measurement events if an analytics service is added later, but no analytics library is currently loaded by our site code.

If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, this notice and the cookie notice will be updated and any consent required by UK law will be requested before those technologies are used.

5. Who we may share information with

Personal information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, email, security or other necessary business administration. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

If a future project referral is made to an installer, charge point operator or other commercial partner, we will not treat this privacy notice as permission to pass personal enquiry details silently. The relevant data-sharing basis and disclosure will be made clear at the point it becomes applicable.

6. International processing

Some technology providers may process information in, or make support available from, countries outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, the relevant provider arrangements should be used.

7. How long information is kept

Business enquiry correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, any resulting business relationship, record-keeping and applicable legal or administrative requirements. Technical logs are kept according to operational/security needs and the policies of the relevant infrastructure provider.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.

Your right to object

If we rely on legitimate interests to process your personal information, you can object to that processing. Contact us at the email address above and explain what you want us to review.

9. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). ICO complaints information.

10. Changes to this notice

This notice will be reviewed when the website adds a new data collection method, analytics service, marketing activity or commercial referral process that changes how personal information is used.

Controller: Nigel Brandom, trading as NB Media. Contact details are provided above and on the Contact page.
